We are seeking a highly skilled and strategic Program Manager – Aviation Maintenance to lead and oversee all aspects of aviation maintenance programs within our client’s organization. This role is responsible for the successful planning, execution, and delivery of maintenance operations, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, budgetary constraints, and performance standards.
The ideal candidate will bring extensive experience in aviation maintenance management, a deep understanding of industry regulations (FAA, EASA, or equivalent), and the ability to lead cross-functional teams in a high-paced environment. This position serves as the primary liaison between internal stakeholders, clients, and regulatory bodies to ensure maintenance programs meet both operational and contractual objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manages all facets of aircraft maintenance, personnel, resources and equipment associated with the contract.
- Ensures that all aircraft inspection procedures, maintenance practices, standards, and records comply with all applicable internal and external regulations.
- Ensure safety standards are adhered to and improve overall safety culture.
- Responsible for the preparation of different audits parties and all subsequent corrections.
- Responsible for the oversight, guidance, and counseling of all department managers.
- Provides aircraft maintenance and related activity reporting and processes to include
- Responsible for the management and supervision of maintenance activities including phase inspections, modifications and repair of aircraft and aircraft structures, engines, and accessories.
- Ensures aircraft are maintained to airworthiness standards prescribed by applicable regulations, technical manuals, airworthiness directives, and good maintenance practices.
- Manages the scheduled maintenance forecasting and planning for assets in support of mission requirements, the flying-hour program, and the bank time goals.
- Considers all factors that affect workflow, such as location of equipment and facilities, tools and tool control, supplies and logistical constraints, job requirements and technician skill sets.
- Provides program over site and direction over maintenance support functions which include logistics, quality control, shops and information technology.
- Develops primary and recurring training for all contract personnel to ensure that they are trained on new model aircraft before being assigned to duties on those aircrafts.
- The Aviation Maintenance Program Manager is directly responsible for the performance appraisals of all functional managers.
- Monitors the deployment execution and provides procedural guidance when necessary.
Job Requirements:
- Minimum of 10 Years supervisory experience in managing aviation maintenance and modification programs of military aircraft.
- Must have experience with logistical life cycle contracts and the material planning requirements of multiple aircraft.
- Experience negotiating contract requirements and vendor selection with major OEM’s for production of Aircraft and parts procurement.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in aviation Discipline (Aircraft Maintenance)
- Bachelor's degree in engineering. MSc in Aviation / Project / Engineering Management disciplines.
